Our Care Services

Since its inception in 1991, ALS Arizona has been the central source for ALS care services and education for people with ALS, their families, caregivers, and health care professionals in Arizona.

The progression of ALS varies significantly from one person to another. Responding to each person’s individual needs, ALS Arizona is available to provide vital services and reliable information through strategic community partnerships.

Our staff is available Monday through Friday to answer any questions you may have so please do not hesitate to reach out.

Ask your Care Services Coordinator about these additional services:

Transportation Program

Although research indicates that pALS who regularly attend clinics live longer, fuller lives, accessible transportation can often become a barrier to continued participation in medical care. Wheelchair accessible transportation to/from ALS clinic appointments is available if you are not able to acquire an accessible vehicle.

Respite Care Program

As the disease progresses, the 24-hour care required for a person living with ALS typically falls on a family member who must also continue the duties of maintaining a household. The Respite Care program provides funding to allow for a much needed break from the rigors of daily caregiving.

Respiratory Consultants

When it comes to managing your symptoms, some challenges are best addressed by a consultant who understands the secondary medical concerns that may arise as a result of ALS disease progression.
